Victoria Costa

Victoria Costa is a PhD Candidate at the University of St Andrew's in the Institute for Theology, Imagination and the Arts (ITIA) where she researches liturgical seasons as loci of illocutionary potential for musical practice. Her thesis, entitled ‘A Liturgical Theology of Music: Cultivating the Faithful through God’s Time,’ seeks to develop a new liturgical theology of music through close examination of the different kinds of, and uses for, music in the liturgical calendar. In addition, Victoria serves as Director of Music at St James’ Catholic Church in St Andrews, and convenor for the St Andrews Scriptorium.
